The Best of Both Worlds
There is a quiet revolution occurring in Scotland with a host of top class craft breweries brewing beers with a spectrum of flavours. At the Edinburgh New Town Cookery School, Tom Bruce Gardyne (drinks writer) will explore beer and food matching using top quality Scottish produce to bring together the best of both worlds.
By mixing and matching a diverse selection of ales from Innis & Gunn and William's Bros among others, with foods such as hot-roasted smoked salmon, venison, haggis and cheeses such as Isle of Mull Cheddar and Strathdon Blue, we will aim to discover the best of both worlds.
Some of the food will be served “neat” and some will be used as ingredients in recipes for you to taste alongside the beers. It will be a fun and informative evening and if you are looking for gift ideas, this course might fit the bill.
