Bread Workshop
Fresh homemade bread is hard to beat and making it yourself is a delight. On this one day breadmaking workshop at Edinburgh New Town Cookery School learn how the ingredients react together in a recipe and make different styles of bread including a delicious potato and cheese soda bread. We will explain what fresh yeast is and how it works and we will talk about the different types of flour used in breadmaking. We will show you how to shape rolls and you will come away with a delicious assortment of breads and a desire to keep making bread.
The day starts at 9.45am with coffee or tea and a short demonstration of some of the skills you will learn. After a morning cooking you will break for lunch with a glass of wine and continue cooking in the afternoon. The day will draw to a close at approximately 4pm
